Every solution that we realise is based on a measurement or thorough analysis of the existing situation. We now have 35 years of experience with this. Do you have a problem with reverberation and want to improve the acoustics? In complex situations, we start with a measurement at the location. Often, we can also give advice on the basis of location details. This applies for both existing rooms and for ones still to be realised. We also test many of our standard products in our acoustic laboratory. We then advise you on the best solution for your situation on the basis of the data.
Some of our sound absorbing products are made of recycled materials, like Eco-coustic cotton, 85% of which is made from old jeans and which is also fully recyclable. Or Akotherm, which is largely made from recycled PET bottles. We feel it’s important to be able to offer sustainable options in each product group. We haven’t fully achieved this yet, but we’re working hard on it.
If you wish to find a solution for your noise problem, our experts can undertake every step of the process, from noise measurements to final assembly.

How the process works

We start by listening to your requirements and analysing your situation. In many cases, we conduct careful tests and measurements using standardised measuring equipment, on site or in our acoustic laboratory.

After this careful analysis, our technical experts design a suitable solution, naturally taking all the applicable legal requirements into account. Specialists in all the disciplines involved work closely together. Expert advisers supervise the entire process to ensure that knowledge is secured and quality is delivered.
Noise nuisance through reverberation often arises because sound absorbing materials have not been integrated into a building. However, it is often still possible to integrate sound absorbing material into a building, visibly or virtually invisibly. We are happy to discuss possible aesthetic solutions for your building. You will then have a custom solution that improves the acoustics and retains the atmosphere.
Merford has a wide range of sound absorption materials which can be supplied from stock. If you would like us to integrate materials by cutting them to size or giving them a coloured coating, for example, we will naturally be happy to do that for you. It will then take a little longer before your solution reaches you.

We have a wide range of products. We supply absorption foams, combination sheets and other materials with properties such as head resistance via our online shop Akoestiekwinkel. Appearance matters too, so we also offer absorbing materials that go even further in terms of aesthetics.
If you want to damp the vibrations of the engine of an old-timer so that they don’t bother the passengers or make sure that the machines in a factory don’t cause bothersome noise for people in the adjoining room, noise absorption is not the solution you need. Absorption improves the acoustics in a room by absorbing reverberations and echo.
