Akoestifloor AZVF‑E
Prefabricated floating floor panels for fast installation
Designed for maximum impact and airborne sound insulation
Suitable for existing wooden and concrete floor constructions
Improve the acoustic performance of existing floors without major structural modifications. Akoestifloor AZVF-E is a floating floor system for timber and concrete subfloors. The prefabricated elements consist of a resilient core of Akoestifoam HDD, a high-density foam variant that enhances impact and airborne sound insulation, combined with a factory-bonded fibre-reinforced gypsum top board. This mass-spring-mass construction reduces both impact and airborne noise and also contributes to thermal insulation. The elements are supplied in a standard size of 1,300 × 600 mm, and the system thickness is tailored to the required acoustic performance.
The system combines high sound insulation with a compact build-up. The high-density Akoestifoam HDD core remains stable under load and retains its resilient properties over time. With a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.04 W/(m·K), the system provides additional thermal insulation. The prefabricated elements ensure fast and consistent installation on a flat, dry and stable subfloor. Where required, the system can be combined with additional acoustic solutions to meet applicable building regulations.
Akoestifloor AZVF-E is suitable for refurbishment projects where timber joist floors or concrete slabs require improved acoustic performance. The elements are bonded in a staggered pattern, after which a secondary 18 mm Akoestipanel top board is installed in a half-bond configuration to ensure optimal stability and performance. Once installed, the floor is ready for a wide range of finishes, including parquet, laminate or carpet, while maintaining high impact and airborne sound insulation.

Answers to common questions
Selection depends on factors such as room function, noise source, required level of sound insulation or absorption, and fire safety requirements. Merford specialists can provide advice based on measurements, acoustic calculations and specific project requirements.
Yes, the substrate must be flat, dry and sufficiently stable for correct installation. Irregularities or unstable surfaces can affect both performance and installation quality.
The panels are modular and can be mounted on both walls and ceilings. Installation can be done directly onto the structure or via a frame. Thanks to their lightweight design and modular system, installation is fast and requires no major structural modifications.
