Akoestiregel MD
Reduces impact sound and structure-borne vibrations in ceiling and wall systems
PEFC™-certified construction
Durable and corrosion-resistant
Noise from upper floors or walls can reduce comfort in any space. Akoestiregel® MD reduces impact noise and vibrations by decoupling suspended ceilings and wall panels from the structure. The adjustable suspension system is compatible with gypsum, mineral wool and wood-based panels, and allows precise height adjustment for a flat and professional finish.
Metal profiles with resilient connectors reduce vibration transfer and maintain their damping properties over time. The system supports heavy panels and also contributes to thermal insulation, with a representative Rd value of 1.66 m²K/W. It is PEFC™ certified and tested with Rw(C;Ctr) ≈ 73 (−3;−10) dB for ceilings and Rw ≈ 64 (−3;−9) dB for walls, providing measurable acoustic performance.
Akoestiregel® MD is suitable for apartments, offices, schools and technical rooms where impact noise reduction, vibration control and thermal performance are required. It is suitable for both refurbishment and new-build projects and works with a wide range of panels and ceiling heights.

Answers to common questions
Selection depends on factors such as room function, noise source, required level of sound insulation or absorption, and fire safety requirements. Merford specialists can provide advice based on measurements, acoustic calculations and specific project requirements.
Yes, the substrate must be flat, dry and sufficiently stable for correct installation. Irregularities or unstable surfaces can affect both performance and installation quality.
The panels are modular and can be mounted on both walls and ceilings. Installation can be done directly onto the structure or via a frame. Thanks to their lightweight design and modular system, installation is fast and requires no major structural modifications.
