AKR 300
Weighted sound reduction index up to Rw = 18 dB(A)
Weatherproof design allowing efficient ventilation
Suitable for façades, air-handling units, and industrial enclosures
The AKR 300 acoustic louvre is a weather-resistant, sound-absorbing louvre for ventilation and façade applications where airflow and noise reduction come together. Internally lined with high-density sound-absorbing material and featuring an aerodynamic louvre blade profile, it minimises pressure drop and achieves a weighted sound reduction of up to Rw = 18 dB(A). Thanks to its smart design, the louvre can be installed both vertically and horizontally and offers customisation options in terms of dimensions and finishes.
The louvre is manufactured from galvanised or stainless steel and finished with a durable powder coating for corrosion resistance. The internal infill is resistant to moisture and weather exposure. It has a blade opening of 100 mm. Available with flange or angle profile for easy installation, or without flange for integration into existing openings. Optional accessories, such as bird mesh, filters or protective grilles, are available. Manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
The AKR 300 louvre is suitable for façade openings, ventilation ducts, air handling units, plant rooms and industrial enclosures. It is ideal for both new-build and renovation projects where reliable noise reduction, ventilation efficiency and flexible installation are required.

Answers to common questions
Merford louvers are aerodynamically designed to minimize pressure drop and guide airflow efficiently. This ensures ventilation performance remains high even at increased airflow.
Yes. The frame and blades are made from galvanized or stainless steel with durable coatings, and the internal fill is moisture‑ and weather‑resistant, ensuring consistent performance under varying weather conditions.
AKR louvers are mainly designed for sound attenuation and ventilation. AIR louvers combine acoustic performance with additional safety features, such as fire resistance and burglary resistance (RC class), making them suitable for critical or secured environments.
