AKR 350
Weighted sound reduction index up to Rw = 13 dB(A)
Weatherproof design allowing efficient ventilation
Suitable for façades, air-handling units, and industrial enclosures
The AKR 350 acoustic louvre provides effective noise reduction for ventilation and façade applications without restricting airflow. With a weighted sound reduction of up to Rw = 13 dB(A), it helps keep machine and environmental noise within acceptable limits. The aerodynamic louvre profile minimises pressure loss, while the internal acoustic lining delivers consistent performance under varying weather conditions. Its customisable design allows adaptation in size and finish, making it suitable for both new-build and renovation projects.
The AKR 350 is manufactured from galvanised or stainless steel and finished with a durable powder coating, ensuring corrosion resistance and long-term outdoor performance. The internal acoustic lining is moisture- and weather-resistant, while the 100 mm louvre profile ensures efficient ventilation. The louvre can be supplied with flange or angle profiles for straightforward installation, or without a flange for integration into existing openings. Optional accessories, such as bird mesh, filters or protective grilles, can be added depending on project requirements. All AKR 350 louvres are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
The AKR 350 louvre is suitable for façade openings, ventilation ducts, air handling units, plant rooms and industrial enclosures. It can be installed vertically or horizontally and integrated into walls or ventilation systems. Its customisable design allows adjustment of dimensions and finishes, making it suitable for both new-build and renovation projects where reliable noise reduction and efficient ventilation are essential.

Answers to common questions
Merford louvers are aerodynamically designed to minimize pressure drop and guide airflow efficiently. This ensures ventilation performance remains high even at increased airflow.
Yes. The frame and blades are made from galvanized or stainless steel with durable coatings, and the internal fill is moisture‑ and weather‑resistant, ensuring consistent performance under varying weather conditions.
AKR louvers are mainly designed for sound attenuation and ventilation. AIR louvers combine acoustic performance with additional safety features, such as fire resistance and burglary resistance (RC class), making them suitable for critical or secured environments.
