Your opportunity at Merford
As a Sales Support Administrator at Merford Acoustic Materials, you will support our commercial department in various tasks. You will prepare quotations, answer questions from new and existing customers about our products and services, and keep our CRM system fully up-to-date. You will manage customer data, orders, and invoices, and contribute to commercial developments regarding (potential) customers.
The work involves often short sales processes and a diverse customer base, including both B2B and B2C.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues from the internal sales department. Sales engineers and account managers are responsible for executing sales requests, and you will provide support. You will regularly communicate with your direct colleagues and other departments such as Purchasing and Production. The Operations Manager is your supervisor, coach, and sounding board for complex issues.
What you bring to the team
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with commercial-administrative insight and a customer-focused attitude.
You bring:
- A completed MBO qualification (e.g., Commercial Employee Internal Sales) or a starting HBO background in commercial-economics or business administration
- Preferably experience with frequent customer contact
- Team spirit and the ability to collaborate effectively
- Strong communication skills, listening skills, and the ability to understand the customer perspective
- Independence after a proper onboarding period, keeping an overview and maintaining a service-oriented approach under varying conditions
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of ERP and CRM systems such as Exact Globe or Synergy is a plus
- Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
- A structured and accurate way of working, a positive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile when needed
