CNC Operator – Sheet Metal Processing

Your opportunity at Merford
For our Sheet Metal Processing department in Gorinchem, we are looking for a CNC Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for independently setting up, programming, and operating CNC-controlled press brakes and/or sheet metal processing machines.
You will work entirely on our production site, producing high-quality sheet metal components used in soundproof doors, façade systems, and technical enclosures. Most of the work involves bespoke projects and small series, keeping the job varied and technically challenging.
What you will do:
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes and/or sheet metal processing machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Program independently by adjusting existing programs or creating new ones
- Check dimensions and perform quality inspections
- Reconfigure machines and change tools as needed
- Identify deviations and contribute ideas to improve processes
- Maintain a safe and organised workplace
What you bring to the team

You bring:
- Proven experience with CNC machines in metal or sheet metal processing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Technical insight and strong sense of accuracy
- An independent and structured approach to work
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Willingness to develop further through courses or training
- Proficiency in Dutch
