            Cogeneration (CHP)

            Cogeneration (CHP)

A combined heat and power plant (CHP) generates energy and uses the released heat. It is the perfect way to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions. The time that combined heat and power plants could only be found in the greenhouse cultivation sector has long gone. Increasingly more institutions and industries are discovering the benefits of this technology. CHPs can even be found among private individuals. To stimulate this positive, sustainable development, CHP manufacturers are making their machines as attractive as possible. Controlling noise plays a key role in this respect.

Due to the fact that combined heat and power plants are driven by gas or biodiesel motors, noise insulation and absorption is an absolute must. However, any noise mitigation measures must be implemented such that the noise problem is tackled at its source. Merford first prepares an extensive analysis of the noise source combined with the CHP’s planned location. We provide optimally fitting solutions for new buildings, as well as for existing situations. In close consultation with the customer we ensure that the solution meets all requirements and desirables. For example, in relation to fire safety.

            Noise control and more!
Like all of our products, our combined heat and power plant-related solutions are carefully designed, manufactured and tested at our location in Gorinchem in the Netherlands. In addition to noise control, we naturally also pay close attention to ventilation, construction, sustainability and ease of maintenance. The popularity of CHPs abroad is high as well, which is why Merford supplies and installs its solutions around the world.
