From 31 May until 3 June, the tenth edition of the Euronoise congress will be taking place in MECC Maastricht. This is the event where acoustics and sound experts from all over Europe will come together to exchange scientific and technical knowledge about sound management and our sound environment. Merford will be presenting its versatility as a sound manager, as well as a new development: an active noise reduction system for high voltage transformers.

The event, which is taking place this year in Maastricht (NL), will be organised by the European Acoustics Association (EEA) in collaboration with the Belgian and Dutch acoustic associations ABAV and NAG. For three days (1–3 June) there will be presentations as well as a trade fair where suppliers of sound solutions will show off their products.
Merford will be there too, presenting a great variety of solutions and services – from acoustic doors and materials to industrial noise control solutions. Whether it’s about product improvement (quieter products for OEMs), complying with the requirements of health and safety or environmental regulations, or about room acoustics, with its good mix of companies the Merford group has a solution for almost any sound problem.
During Euronoise, Merford Noise Control will present one of its most recent developments: a so-called active noise reduction system (ANRS) that reduces the tonality of transformers. This system can achieve a reduction of up to 12 dB in the frequency between 100 and 200 Hz. At the fair, we would love to tell you more about our experiences during a pilot project with a 15KV transformer station, where we can remotely monitor how the system is working.
